Your Council Tax instalments

Direct Debit the easiest way to pay your Council Tax.

Important information about paying in instalments by Direct Debit:

• you can pay either 10 or 12 instalments
• you can choose to pay on 1st, 10th or 20th of the month
• you can also choose to pay two, half instalments on 1 April and 1 September
• you can set up a Direct Debit or change your payment plan
• your instalments are due on or before the instalment date shown on your bill
• if payments are late you may receive a reminder 
• a maximum of two reminders are sent during any financial year
• you will lose the right to pay by instalments if you need a third reminder - you will need to pay the balance for the year if this happens
• if you do not pay the amount on the reminder notice in full and on time, you will receive a magistrate's court summons for the full balance - this will incur costs which will be added to your account
