Participating in activities can help you build your confidence, improve your physical and mental wellbeing, develop social and life skills and encourages being a part of your community.

Our 1Leisure centres have activities, such as swimming, fitness classes, Tone Zone gyms, racket sports, and more that can be booked for individual use or for group activities. Find out more about 1Leisure’s concessions.

Medina Theatre hosts various forms of creative arts, music, comedy and entertainment for you to enjoy.

Our Adult Community Learning service offers a range of arts and crafts workshops to follow your interests, grow in confidence, and meet others in your community.

The IW Family Information Hub supports young adults with learning disabilities up to 25 years of age signposting you to relevant local events and activities.

Our Sports Development Unit works with local partners to encourage sport and physical activity on the island. These include services, such as:

Muddy Boots gardening group

This group is for those who want to gain gardening and grounds keeping skills. You will contribute to the produce grown for the Quarr Abbey shop.

We meet every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 10am to 1pm at Quarr Abbey, Ryde. If you wish to attend, email diane.woodhouse@shgroup.org.uk or call 07546 515765.
